Prime Healthcare Services, headquartered in California, is a progressive, innovative, and rapidly expanding hospital management company. Given Prime Healthcare’s rapid growth, top management sought to get more clarity on the financial metrics across their system, (at the time) consisting of 23 acute care hospitals in five states. Prime understood the need to improve their technology to ensure quality patient satisfaction and continue tracking upwards in hospital over quality of care ratings.
Analytics Intell (AI) was brought in to review the data and metrics processes across the hospital system.
The assessment showed that much of their reporting process involved static information reporting in paper format, which could lead to issues. AI advised to implement a complete business intelligence solution. A business intelligence tool would compute all key metrics impacting quality of care, offer a quicker understanding of the metrics, provide comparisons to other hospitals and the mechanisms to track and assess goals.
Based on AI’s experience with hospital systems, they offered a readily available platform, backed by MicroStrategy, to achieve the desired goals of reporting across the clinical and financial aspects of operations. Having a framework in place allowed Prime to quickly have access to a BI solution customized to their needs, saving time and money, rather than starting from scratch. AI worked with the client to identify the key modules to enhance the framework to their specifications and completed the build out.

- Prevention efforts for falls and fall-related injuries
