The Nassau County Early Intervention Program (EIP) is part of the national EIP for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. To be eligible for services, children must be under 3 years of age and have a confirmed disability or established developmental delay, as defined by the State, in one or more of the following areas of development: physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and/or adaptive. The program offers a variety of therapeutic and support services to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. The services are provided free of charge and at the eligible infant’s home.
Due to the large volume of data collected on services provided, the EIP in Nassau County partnered with Analytics Intell to help with reporting and analysis of the data. Using our reporting and analytical application, the Nassau County Department of Health was able to perform analysis on the volume of cases assigned to providing agencies and was able to better evaluate the quality of the services. Service Coordinators from Nassau County EIP were then armed with actionable information on which agencies are most effective on providing certain services compare to others. The coordinators were also able to make better decisions on what cases to assign to which agencies base on their efficiency.
